This course will provide you with an enhanced understanding of Project Finance and the commercial requirements of all interested parties to the project.In satisfying the overall aim of the workshop, the following objectives will be met:
- to provide participants with an appreciation of why Project Finance is undertaken;
- assessment of the commercial objectives of the parties involved in a Project Finance;
- identification of the major qualitative and quantitative risks in a Project Finance;
- evaluation, through review of existing financial models, of the key financial sensitivities in a Project Finance to assess the degree of risk inherent in a project, and discussion of the purpose and structure of the financial model;
- understanding the differences between a creditor's and an equity investor's approach to risk and return requirements and to reconcile those with the needs of project lenders;
- development of the techniques used to mitigate lending risks through third party credit support and security documentation.
