4 Simple Ways to Manage Stress

Workplace stress was already an issue workers of the modern era have to struggle with, add in a pandemic and lockdown restrictions and stress is going to be at an all-time high for many people.

  1. Give yourself a break (regularly) – break up the stresses of work by ensuring you allow yourself to take a break and take them regularly throughout your day.
  2. Be aware – consciously be aware of how your mental and physical state is affected by stress. Knowing and acknowledging the triggers that put you in a state of stress is progress to managing stress, when you’re aware you are in a state of stress
  3. Set boundaries – in our tech-filled lives, it’s easy to feel like you’re readily accessible and always “on” for work. Now, more and more companies are aware of setting boundaries on limiting the “always-on work” expectation
  4. Bring ease into your effort – if you’re trying to meditate to relieve stress, don’t focus on the stress while meditating otherwise it’s counter-productive
