One of the great things about leading a start up or being the CEO of a business venture is that everyone believes they have a bit of advice for you to hear. This can be from all sorts of different angles. It could be your parents or grandparents, who would like to impart a sense of age-old wisdom to you. Or it can be from one who has gone there before you, one who has ventured where you are venturing now.
Whatever avenue it comes from, one thing is clear…advice is always good. It doesn’t necessarily have to be profound or earth shattering. These simple nuggets of truth can be wonderful reminders to you as you work on your ventures. Perhaps they keep you honest and on the straight and narrow. Or perhaps they widen (or even open) your eyes to the realities that lay inherent within certain options you may be thinking about taking.
Whatever it may be, this wisdom and advice should never be turned aside or brushed off. If there is anything we have learned from our elders, it is that we should always heed the advice of those who are older, lived longer, and are thus far wiser from us.
Today we impart some of that wisdom from one who has gone there before you in business as well and in leadership. Take some time to read today’s article and heed the advice given here. It will certainly help you along the way.
