Canadian Rail Work Stoppage Is Off/On Again?

Earlier in the year, Canada had to deal with losing millions in trade business due to a work stoppage at the marine ports, now, the Canadian Government doesn’t want more of that trade hurt to come down and forcing the rail workers to continue working despite disagreement in the current work contract.

At first, it was thought this intervention was the end of it and monetary losses averted, it seems the workers are not going to go away quietly into the night and could still strike.


Ghana Set to be Major Oil Player in West Africa

Ghana has broken ground on a brand new $12 billion oil refinery, positioning Ghana as a potential major petroleum hub in West Africa.

The new refinery is set to produce 300,000 barrels of oil/day and 325,000 cubic ft of natural gas per day.

However, critics of the project believe the project should be scaled back in size to reduce its carbon footprint.
