There is an all too common problem leaders are faced with on a daily basis. It strikes the best and can cruelly incapacitate them. What is it?
Thinking.
We all do it…however, some of us do it longer than others. And by longer, I mean infinitely longer. There are times when people get bogged down with too much thinking to the point where they become indecisive.
This indecision leads them to second guess and triple guess themselves to the point of futility.
Yes, thinking through an issue is extremely important and relevant. However, if you spend all of your time in the thinking stages, what we call the theoretical, then you are never going to get out there and do something.
In fact, what will eventually happen is another person will come along and put your thoughts into action for their own company and you will be stuck with trying to come up with something new again.
This is obviously a horrible place to be, and one that you need to avoid at all costs.
