Honda Invests in EV Battery Facility in Ontario

As Canada continues to lure manufacturers to invest in the country to build out its EV manufacturing industry, Honda is the latest auto manufacturer to invest US$11 billion in Ontario by building assembly and battery plants in the province.

Canada is offering major tax-credits for companies willing to invest and expand the industry.

Canada’s Sushi Could Cost More

The Canadian Federal government mandated all open-net pen salmon farms in Canada to close by 2025.

The mandated closure of these salmon farms is due to these farms causing harm to wild salmon population.

However, farmed salmon accounts for 97% of all Canadian salmon harvests.

The hit in supply could cause a price increase of $30/kilo by 2026.
