In Craig Guillot’s article regarding CEOs and their company’s productivity, he speaks of the many studies that support the idea that a happy worker will be much more productive than a bothered one. In addition, he speaks of many companies taking this to heart and increasing workers’ pay to keep them happy or do other activities that will increase the overall morale of the workplace. He then gives some of the advice on how to make the employees happy such as giving them a salary increase.
