Kroger to Experiment with Drone Delivery

Supermarket chain, Kroger, will be testing drone deliveries this spring from one of their stores.

The technology allows for deliveries of up to five pounds to customers’ homes or wherever they may be, enabling cookout supplies to be sent directly to a park in as little as 15 minutes.

The new tech allows home-delivery of 5lbs to customers’ homes or wherever they may be.

As the weather and other unforeseen factors continue to plague the use of drones, there are still a number of issues that need to be addressed for their large scale usage.

To date, UPS, Alphabet’s Wing, and Amazon’s Prime Air are the only three companies that have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to deliver packages by drone.

There have been a number of significant developments in the field of drone delivery over the last few years which is likely to change soon.
