As the CEO of any business, your work is always on your mind. There’s no way around it. It’s your life and you are the driving force behind it.
However, this is not equally true of your employees. Yes, many of them are invested to see this business reach the height of success. But this does not mean they are as heavily invested as you.
So when you are working through the late hours, pushing and working hard on your next proposal and developing the next step your business is going to take, you cannot expect your team to be pushing along side you through the night hours and weekend.
Why? Well, simply put…they have lives. The more you respect those lives the more they will give of them to you for the sake of the company.
But this means that you can’t expect to be emailing them, calling them, and pinging them on their phone during the weekend. You must respect their lives so they give respect to your company on the workdays.
Such leadership on your part will serve to build a team that is responsive and able to work for you in an outstanding manner.
