Public speaking is part and parcel of your position. We have addressed this many times. However, one thing we have not addressed is the issue of how to do it. One thing that we see happening quite a bit with people when it comes to public speaking is that awkward silence that they have when it comes to transitions. Now, how do people fill that silence? Typically by uttering the “umms” and speeding up their pace as they speak.
