A numbers game

Microsoft is preparing for the release of Microsoft Windows 10. That’s right. 10. What’s that you ask? What happened to 9? Well, it seems as if Microsoft is going to skip that altogether and go straight from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Why?

Bloomberg has the story for us, and they share how Microsoft has stated that calling it Windows 9 simply wouldn’t do it justice. They have made so many leaps and bounds in the software that they are going straight to the moon and calling this one 10! Sounds like someone is playing hopscotch with them numbers. And of course, that’s what it is. But why? Well, it’s a numbers game in the name of marketing.

Skipping numbers is nothing at all…unless it gets people to talk. And then it’s everything.
