Overcoming Workplace Stress

In today’s work environment, not only do you have to deal with being tied to your email inbox, you have mobile phones where people can reach you all hours of the day but you also have deal with incivility at work from other co-workers.

This recent article found that on average, Managers spend 18% of their time dealing with staff conflicts. They also found that 43% of employees have experienced incivility at work.

As you can imagine, this can cause  stress not only in the workplace but also at home. The article offers a few light tips on handling incivility such as:

  • Talking to family and friends about the stress caused from rude co-workers
  • Trying to stay positive
  • Taking some time off
