It’s true…some of us are simply night owls. Perhaps we feel our most inspired moments come in the wee hours of the night. For others of us, we enjoy the solitude that comes from working at 3am in the morning. But let us remember, that is not the majority of the work force, and chances are, it’s not your own work force at all.
How would you feel if you were an employee and you woke up to 10 different emails with calls to action each and every single morning. I’m sure there would be a sense of dread in your heart every time you opened up your email.
“What’s he going to ask for now?”
“Is she satisfied with the work I’ve been doing?”
“Really, 10 emails already?”
Your employees are working hard for you, and those late night emails you fire off in your inspired moments may not be the thing they want to wake up to every single morning. Nobody likes an inbox flooded with emails every morning, and nobody like one especially with 10 or so different emails from the boss.
Give your crew a break from that late night email and learn to communicate with them in a more productive manner.
