Potential Solution to America’s Electricity Supply

Potential Solution to America’s Electricity Supply

As countries look at moving towards electrifying vehicles and renewable energy, the problem in the US is the existing electric infrastructure is currently insufficient.

According to researchers at UC Berkeley, they may have a feasible solution: replacing the existing power lines with cables made from state-of-the-art materials, thus potentially doubling existing capacity.

This proposed method costs less and can be implemented quickly.

This Startup Says They’ve Solved Sustainable Packaging

The current petroleum-based packaging for produce, meats and beauty products are bane for our environment.

However, Bpacks, a startup says they may have found the solution to the world’s first biodegradable bioplastic.

The new bioplastic is made of left-over tree bark, mixed with coffee grounds, made into pellets and sheets that can be used as packaging. This resulting material is 100% biodegradable yet can hold products with high-moisture content without dissolving.
