Research from Stanford shows that companies that allow employees to work from home benefit from 50 percent less turnover and 17 percent more productivity. Their workers work harder and are happier. However, before starting a work-from-home program, companies should decide what outcome they desire from thier program and set expectations with their employees. It’s important to be flexible and experiment to see what works best for the company and individual employees. Ultimately the best work from home program will depend on the needs of the company and of the individual employees.
