We all have things that we would like to do and accomplish. Lately, that has been referred to as the bucket list. We have seen it in movies and played up in the media quite a bit as well.
This has led many a person to develop their own bucket lists, even at times having multiple for various age brackets. For example, they have a bucket list for things they want to do and accomplish before the age of 35, and then before the age of 50, etc.
However, has this bucket list mentality backfired on us? What happens when a person doesn’t meet certain expectations in life, an the bucket list begins to look more like a list of failures rather than things enjoyed?
This can lead to a bit of stress, and if you are a CEO running a company, maybe it will end up leading to bitter disappointment.
For that reason, we advocate not a bucket list of things to do, but rather a list of things accomplished and enjoyed. This can be sort of an anti-bucket list. Instead of lost opportunity, you begin to see it and yourself as the one who has already achieved and continuing to achieve.
