What’s the most important minute of your day?
Is it in when you wake in the morning and get yourself ready for the day’s business? Perhaps.
Is it when you pour that cup of coffee and wake yourself up? Not necessarily.
The most important minute of your day is the one spent with your employees. Showing them that you care enough about them to invest in what they are doing for your business, and to see how they are doing in general will lead to a happier disposition on their part and a more knowledgeable working condition on your part.
This the minute where you can connect. You can see what is going on in your company through their eyes and how they understand not only their own jobs, but the ethos of the company as a whole.
Gaining their perspective on things may indeed be the most important minute of your day.
So take the time to navigate the office. Get to know people and talk with them. Let them know they simply are not worker bees, but that they are integral part of everything that goes on in your business.
As you do, you’ll see and feel the environment of your company change.
