The cost of employee disengagement is huge, reportedly costing the US economy an estimated $450 to $550 billion in productivity each year.

While there is no surefire way to guarantee that your employees are always engaged with what they’re doing, this recent Entrepreneur article argues that working to ensure that all of your employees have a clear sense of the company’s purpose, goals and how close it is to realizing those goals will go a long way in that regard.
