Want A Lift? Seeing the Future and Seizing It

Lyft took on Uber giant and now owns 40% of the market in San Francisco. This is an amazing story and an amazing time for this company. In this story, there is something for us to learn as well.

What is decidedly different between Lyft and Uber? On the surface, there’s really nothing different. So then, the difference must be something under the hood? Apparently, Lyft found a way to compete and attract drivers over to its side.

Time will only tell if they remain a viable competitor in this market. But, this story does raise the question for us as we consider the competition in our various markets. The simple question is, who is doing it better? As we look to our competitors, we must continue to not only stay sharp and see what we can accomplish, but we also must ask what we bring to the table that is unique and more important than what they have. So take a few moments to consider how you are uniquely working through your industry or niche, and how you will out lift the competition.
