As chipmakers diversify their reliance on production in Asia, Intel is building a US$4.6 billion facility in Warsaw, Poland. This facility will become Intel’s third facility in Europe.
Western Canadian Ports At Risk of Strikes
At two of the busiest ports in Western Canada, Port of Vancouver and Prince Rupert, workers at these ports are potentially going on strike soon over wages.
Both ports handle over $350b in goods annually.
UPS At Risk of Strikes
Speaking of strikes, UPS workers are at risk of going on strike if they don’t reach a new agreement by 31st July.
To manage the strike risk, senders are already sending orders to rivals Fedex and DHL to ensure fulfillment doesn’t get disrupted.
