When I managed a sales team, I remember listening in on conversations and I could hear executives on the other end of the phone saying “I’m really busy right now, can’t speak.”

Now, I understand sometimes it’s just to get off the phone to avoid a sales conversation but even when it was to deal with an existing customer and there was legitimate reason to speak to them, they were still very flustered and speaking rapidly like they had a zombie chasing them.
