I recently spoke to one of my closest friends, we had made plans to meet for lunch with another friend.
He never made it to lunch because he had his performance review just before lunch and it over-ran by one hour.
When I spoke to him, I asked how the performance review went, he just sounded demoralised.
But I know he’s doing his job right, it’s apparent his bosses are under pressure to meet some kind of quota so they pressure him to be more “relaxed” with his criteria.
(As the industry he’s in and his job nature is sensitive, I won’t mention details here).
