Location in a Virtually Driven World

The Wharton School’s Professor of Marketing, David Bell, shares with us today some conclusions regarding marketing in an e-commerce world. There is no doubt in anybody’s mind that the internet has truly shaped consumer consciousness in the 21st century society. Now, with this new research, Prof. Bell relates just how that awareness has been formed and fostered. For one thing, location in an internet-driven world is still, surprisingly, very important.

How so? Well, it is no longer so much the physical location of the commercial business itself, but rather the location of those who are learning of that business via the internet, and sharing it with those around them. This becomes an interesting point with regard to how businesses target their select audiences.

Take a look at the video, and especially note the 3 surprises Dr. Bell mentions. They are not only eye-opening, but very important for your own current business goals and aims.
