Fear can be a powerful motivator, but it can also be a debilitating handicap. The implications of fear seep beyond our personal lives and into our professional lives as well. Entrepreneurs should be aware not only of the benefits of fear, but also of the drawbacks. Before you know it, fear can come to control your life and your decisions. It is possible to control your fears rather than letting your fears control you. The first step is to identify what your fears truly are, and then you must interrogate them. Question why the fear exists; how the fear is impacting you personally, professionally, or both; whether the fear is justified; and, finally, what will happen if you fail to overcome the fear.
