US bank, Wells Fargo, recently disclosed that they fired more than a dozen employees for faking keyboard activity to make it appear they were “working” (assuming they were working remotely).
While we don’t really know if there were any other details missing for the firings, taken at face value, this clearly showed many companies and leaders are STILL not adept at managing in the new remote/hybrid environment.
What this is really telling us, is they value their staff to actually pretend typing on a keyboard WHILE IN the office instead of at home.
This clearly shows the traditional work performance measurements and thinking is clearly flawed.
