The World Series is underway and all eyes are on the little engine that could: The Kansas City Royals. They have been off to a great post-season start, playing flawlessly and building momentum as they go.
Because of this, all eyes have been turning to them to see if they might just do the seemingly impossible, topple a few giants in their way…San Francisco Giants, that is.
So what can we learn from this Cinderella story? Actually, according to inc. magazine, quite a bit. In their article on 3 things an entrepreneur can learn from the KC Royals, they adeptly point out how this team has the ability to work on a shoe-string budget and make it pay in dividends; taking a step in the unknown as the Royals built up their team through trades in the off-season, which frankly, they didn’t know would work out or not…but they took the gamble and the risk paid off; and finally, just being young and enjoying life. This is a young team with a lot of energy, and they are clearly excited with what they are doing.
Take a look at this great article and see how these things might just translate to your own work.
