Bloomberg Businessweek has a very funny and enlightening post on what the world reaches for when it’s snack time! It’s neat to see what various parts of the world will reach for, by percentage. For example, 69% of Chinese and Japanese people are reaching for some sort of chocolate, whereas almost that same percentage of Europeans love their fresh fruit.
This begs a question: do you know the habits and wants of your clients? Do you know them so well that you can predict where they are going for their information, and even the type of information they are looking for? This is part of what we are called to do in this industry. We are not only serving up a product, but we are also meeting a demand.
In order to meet that demand, we ought to know what our clients are reaching for.
