Whether you’re back in the office or still working from home, “productivity” is a phrase we love to hate in the digital era.
Eric Barker, of Barking Up the Wrong Tree, shares tips organized people do each day to stay productive and organized:
- Deny being in denial: most of the time, we deny how much we realistically can get done in a day, accept the reality.
- Select what you’ll fail at in advance: know what you won’t do with your time
- Fixed Volume Productivity: figure out the actual hours in the day you have to perform tasks
- Serialize: Instead of multi-tasking & switching between projects in a day, try focusing on one project’s tasks for one day, but switch to another project to focus on the next day.
- Celebrate your accomplishments: celebrate the productive wins, no matter how small they are.
